Sopris Sun

Carbondale's community supported, weekly newspaper

Sopris Sun cover There are two ways to view the articles, photos and other types of content (letters, opinion columns, etc.) that have appeared in past issues of The Sopris Sun.

eEditions of the paper  are available dating back to The Sun’s beginning in 2009. The eEditions reproduce the paper exactly as it appeared in print, with photos, ads, etc. If you know the approximate date of the issue or article you are interested in, you should be able to locate it in electronic form.
Our first issue, February 12, 2009.

Searchable Text With the launch of this new website in late July 2013, we have added a search feature, to make it possible to locate a specific article, column, letter to the editor, or other news item by typing in a title, author, date or keyword. Loading the content from all the back issues of The Sun is going to take time and volunteer support (want to help?), but we’ll get it done eventually. For now, news features and other written content from the July 4, 2013 issue forward are included in these searchable archives.

The Search box appears at the top of every page on the site; it searches both the site itself and the text archives. Give it a try...and if you don’t locate what you are looking for, take a spin through past eEditions  and see what you find. It’s a fun thing to do, anyway, when you have time.
